The Italian Groups

We are a largely self-taught group who have been together for more than 10 years,
not only studying together but also taking off to explore Italy from time to time.
We have reached quite a high standard in grammar and ability to read the language, but our listening
and speaking skills require more practice. We are probably at GCSE standard or beyond.
If you have reached this level of fluency, why not consider joining us.
Anne would be delighted to hear from you.

This group started as an off-shoot from Group 1.
We have worked through BBC Talk Italian books 1 and 2 and now use the exercises
in the McGraw Hill grammar books.
We have also found graded reading books which are short murder stories.
What we are not good at is promoting Italian conversation as there is no-one in the
group who is fluent enough to lead that. Our level is probably around GCSE.
At the moment the group is stable with 6 people plus the organiser.
We find that small number gives people the confidence to contribute to the meetings.
So at the moment unfortunately we are not in a position to accept new members.
